We’re looking for a whip-smart digital strategist with a head for project management and a passion for making social change to join Fenton’s New York team. The ideal SAE candidate has 5+ years of experience in online campaigns, community building, digital paid media and website design/production projects.

What you’ll do at Fenton:

PROJECT STRATEGY AND MANAGEMENT

  • Collaborate with cross-office and cross-disciplinary teams to oversee UX, UI, development, community management and online paid advertising on behalf of multiple clients
  • Manage the social media monitoring, research, strategy, execution and reporting of digital communications campaigns for multiple clients
  • Ensure that online strategies are integrated with overall branding, messaging, earned media and other aspects of client campaigns and aligned with broader campaign goals
  • Oversee clients’ online properties including creating smart, platform appropriate content
  • Work with web production teams to oversee development of websites and train clients in CMS

Qualifications:

Fenton’s fellowship program connects young professionals with opportunities to learn public-interest communications, and our team members are committed to growing and diversifying the field. Our team members mentor fellows as they work alongside our staff to identify and implement leading communications strategies – and hopefully discover some new ideas along the way. Fellows assist account staff with various media, administrative and research activities. Essential responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Monitoring media coverage (earned and paid), analyzing results and noting relevant lessons and recommendations
  • Conducting research on various issues, campaigns and organizations (Research could include online research, interviews, survey building and related work.)
  • Assisting with planned media outreach (This could include researching relevant journalists, social media leaders and others or crafting pitch language and conducting outreach.)
  • Drafting content for social media, earned media, collateral and more
  • Developing presentations and designing materials
  • Copyediting
  • Taking part in and leading creative brainstorm sessions
  • Being an awesome colleague and sharing cool finds about communications and the issues that we care about

Fenton is seeking a Vice President/Senior Vice President in our Washington, DC office. We are looking for a strategic thinker with top media connections who understands what it takes to run winning issue campaigns. One of the leading public-interest communications firms in the country, Fenton has offices in Washington, DC, New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles. We develop and execute strategic communications campaigns that make a difference for social justice, the environment, health and other issues in the public interest.

Our office works on projects that involve media relations, branding, communications planning and digital media development. The Vice President/Senior Vice President also is responsible for extensive project, budget and staff management. Candidate preferably will have strong environmental media and business contacts in the environmental community as well as expertise in politics, social justice and other progressive issues. Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting strategic planning for organizations and issue movements
