Jennifer Lindenauer
Senior Vice President

Jennifer Lindenauer brings more than 14 years of communications strategy, advertising, media relations, public affairs and political organizing experience to Fenton. She helped develop and manages our advertising division where clients include Health Care for America Now, MoveOn.org, Service Employees International Union (SEIU), ACORN and others. Lindenauer also directs our NY office.

Before joining Fenton, she was most recently the communications director for MoveOn.org, where she managed communications strategy, public relations and advertising. At MoveOn.org she was part of the team that helped the Democrats take control of the House of Representatives in 2006. During that election cycle, MoveOn.org volunteers made 7 million calls, raised and spent $27 million, recruited 450,000 new members and ran the “Caught Red-Handed” ad program, which demonstrated early that Democrats could win a majority in Congress by taking on Republicans many thought couldn’t be defeated.

Before MoveOn.org, Lindenauer managed her own consulting business, Lindenauer Consulting. Clients at her firm included the United Nations Foundation, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the No on Referendum 55 campaign to protect public schools, the Statewide Poverty Action Network and others. Earlier, Lindenauer opened the Seattle office for GMMB, a national strategic communications firm, where she provided strategic counsel for clients such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Freddie Mac Foundation, the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, the League of Conservation Voters and numerous candidate and initiative campaigns across the country. Before joining GMMB, she was the field director of Washington Conservation Voters; managed a campaign for Seattle City Council; and was an advocate for the Washington State Public Interest Research Group. Lindenauer co-founded Equal Rights Washington, a statewide political advocacy organization working to end discrimination against the GLBT community.
