Framed for 35 Years

Herman Wallace and Albert Woodfox have each spent 35 years in solitary confinement in Louisiana's notorious Angola prison for the 1972 murder of a prison guard. The two were Black Panthers who had been organizing nonviolently inside. New evidence shows that prison officials bribed an inmate to testify he saw them commit the crime.

FENTON was commissioned to generate media interest. We brought in NBC Nightly News and placed a feature in the Los Angeles Times about the guard's widow, who now believes they are innocent. Continue reading »
