Laura Deeb Kulkarni

Laura Deeb Kulkarni specializes in organizational development, strategy and outreach. Her background includes strategic communications, community organizing, public policy and advocacy campaigns, and skill-based training. She has a passion for public health issues and has devoted the last decade of her career to working with small and large organizations with the goal of creating sustainable social change. Deeb Kulkarni is currently working with clients such as First 5 LA’s place-based approach Best Start, an effort to transform Los Angeles neighborhoods into places where young children can grow up safe, healthy and happy as well as Computers for Youth, a national organization that is improving children’s learning environments at home and strengthening the school-home connection.
Prior to joining Fenton, Deeb Kulkarni founded and served as director of The Delta Project, an organizational development and strategy firm she ran for nine years, based in Los Angeles, CA and Tallahassee, FL. While at The Delta Project, Deeb Kulkarni directed multiple projects in eight states and personally provided skill-based training to more than 5,000 individuals nationwide. She created a variety of community outreach programs, strategic plans, media campaigns, and grassroots advocacy initiatives as well as creating and implementing the Florida Conference on Tobacco Advocacy and Policy which brought together more than 350 people from community programs, schools, non-profits, government agencies and companies to revitalize the tobacco control movement.
She earned a Masters of Public Health with a focus in health policy and management from Columbia University in New York and her Bachelors of Science in interdisciplinary social science from Florida State University. Deeb Kulkarni currently lives in Los Angeles with her husband.
