Kara Masi
Digital Projects Director, New York
Kara Masi has more than 10 years of experience designing and developing Web sites for nonprofit organizations. At Fenton, Masi manages the strategy, budgeting, design, and development processes for our digital practice. Since Masi joined Fenton in 2008, she has launched more than 25 Web sites and has worked on such sites as Heal the Bay, Knights Apparel‘s living wage clothing line, the UN’s Say No To Violence campaign, USAID’s CapacityPlus program, the Blue Shield of California Foundation, and the California League of Conservation Voters. She is currently working with ASPCA, Save the Children, and The Brain and Behavior Research Foundation on creating dynamic online campaigns.
Masi formerly headed up her own communications firm, managing a team of design and technical consultants and overseeing the production of print and web projects for nonprofit organizations including Child Care Inc., Brooklyn Arts Council, Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), and the Universal Health Care Foundation of Connecticut. Masi lives in Brooklyn and is active in the local food scene, running charity culinary fundraisers, hosting a community supper club, and food blogging for the Daily Meal, Conde Nast, and NY Times’ The Local. Masi studied communications and studio arts in undergrad at Fairfield University and urban policy at Milano, New School for Management and Urban Policy.
